The month is quickly coming to an end and that means the holidays are here! For many people the holiday shopping started early, but if you’re anything like me as we approach Christmas you realize how many people you forgot to get gifts for (oops). Shipping can be a nightmare right now with retailers working to fulfill so many orders on top of a global pandemic. Here’s a few quick tips for getting that last minute shopping done!
- In store pick up
Look for retailers that offer in store pick up! That way you can knock out your shopping online and just run by the store to pick it up. You don’t have to worry about the crowds or wasting time mulling through stores.
2. Shop small business
I can’t even begin to tell you how important this is! It can be super easy to hit Amazon or Target for gifts, I get it. Shopping small business not only supports small entrepreneurs in making their dreams a reality but it also puts money right back into your local economy. This keeps your town/city flourishing and helps spread the love through where you spend your dollar.
3. Get artsy
This might not be for everyone! But if you enjoy creating, considering making bracelets, paintings or home decor for your friends and family. You can get inspiration on things like pinterest or etsy if you aren’t sure what to do. I can’t paint to save my life however I have made some beaded bracelets for friends and family with items found at local craft stores! That way you can express your creative side, customize gifts and keep costs low.
Remember most importantly that the holidays are all about spreading love and connecting to people in your life. Even if that means giving hand written letters expressing how you feel about the people in your life. We all know this year is WEIRD and different, that doesn’t mean it has to be bad.Keep on keeping on my friends, you got this!
